A keynote excursion on interdisciplinarity, scholarly excellence and the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site – Part 1
TITLE:
The Cradle of Humankind: a background
ABSTRACT:
A crash course on the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site and all that lies within it. Professor Amanda Esterhuysen will touch on the history of fossil finds, changing scientific ideas and new technologies. A smorgasbord that combines a ‘blood bespattered archive’, pseudoscience, and the peril of having a large brain, with a little cosmogenic dating and lasers on the side.
